With our Campaign,  Success is a history and not merely a Promise.
Join us and invite friends as we build momentum towards our victory party in November!

This early in our efforts Fundraising is primary importance.  Helping with funding early on is what fuels our victory.  We have a unique opportunity specifically in this senate seat to turn the tides towards responsible spending in Government with reduction in taxation, Safety in our neighborhoods supporting and not fighting our police, and  prioritized improvment in our quality of life!  I am running against the wasteful Establishment systems.

My Friends Call Me Tash...

J Tacheny grew up on the East Side and especially in the arenas of Minnesota playing, and then coaching hockey with Wes Barrette’s East Side Hockey program. Nicknamed “Tash” by his Hill Murray coach Bill Lechner. He was a goalie and Olympic hopeful in 1988 men’s ice hockey but was cut before the National Team was picked. He served his Beloved coach Wes as team Chaplain and goalie Coach.

Tash studied at the the University of St Thomas to focus on his studies at St. John Vianney Seminary. During his time in seminary he volunteered in youth ministry and summers as wilderness guide in the BOUNDARY Waters Canoe Area and continues to be an advocate for the environment with green building and outdoor community.

He was hired as a Youth Director at Tranfiguration Church in Oakdale.
Serving 10 years the needs of District 622 high school students and junior high students and their families. During his time as youth minister, he wrote books on Training Youth Leadership and even a Prayer Journal. He was elected by his peers as the Executive Director of a 53 church organization called Teen’s East Ecumenical Network serving in leadership that Award Winning organization for seven years.

Tash was also invited to be the youngest board member of Twin Cities Youth for Christ founded by Billy Graham. He served the Catholic Archdiocese organizing logistics for the World Youth Day visit by Pope John Paul II in Denver CO and was the Catholic liaison to the Billy Graham Crusade at the Minneapolis Metro Dome in the mid nineties. He even toured as a stand-up comedian and motivational speaker opening for Jeff Moore and the Distance in the last event ever hosted at the Metropolitan Arena in Bloomington MN.

Working in ministry & comedy never really paid the bills entirely, he continued to return back to construction because he wasn’t very funny and construction paid the bills!

He started his blended family of five children and a budding real estate business with Edina Realty. He excelled at sales and construction
His first endeavor as a Realtor was to enroll the top producers in the St. Paul Area Association of Realtors to support the Ramsey County family shelter building at its new location in Maplewood behind Aldrich Arena in 1998.

Serving in this way, linked him with the top producers across multiple brokerages as well as launching him into land development with his family of contractor entrepreneurs.

Minnesota monthly magazine featured him as a SUPER AGENT excellent service to the Little Canada and surrounding communities. He served most of his Edina Realty career at their Maplewood office as a consistent President’s Circle Performer also winning Leadership awards and servicing the St Paul Board of Realtors Professional Responsibility Board and leading the Ethics Committee. He is Endorsed by the Minnesota Board of Realtors for his Senate campaign!

Seeing the problems with school systems and desiring the best for his children. He paused his career and becsme a homeschool dad to his three youngest children which he affectionately refers to as his “made from scratch children!”.

After his divorce, he and his kids worked within his family’s Roofing Business expanding the commercial side of business still serving Churches and business owners.

He became A certified roofing inspector and He is writing a book on Roofing Science. He now works as a construction consultant for many in the construction industry and private home owners.

Seeing the massive waste within government and frustrated by the misdirected spending, he decided it was time to engage to solve these misguided priorities. He became a state Delegate of Senate district 44 and was voted by his peers to serve as deputy chair and now seeks your vote to serve his life long community as State Senator.

This is an effort to understand and serve the needs of the citizens of the Little Canada, Landfall, Maplewood, North, St. Paul, Oakdale and Pine Springs communities, of which he will serve.
